To produce well trained, honorable individuals that excel in
the Corps, the University, and any other challenges that they may
face. History of
F-2
Company F-2 began as the “Fighting Fox Company” in 1959. Company
F-2 has a strong athletic history and has held the second
most Freshmen Intramural Flags, Upperclassmen,
and Penberthy Intramural Flags. It has had several
yell leaders, several Red Pots and members of the Ross
Volunteers, the Fish Drill Team, Parson’s Mounted Cavalry, O.R. Simpson Honor Society, Student Government, MSC
Hospitality, and Class Council.
F-2 prides itself on being the “Country Club.” F-2 freshmen
enjoy many “privileges” that other fish in the Corps do not
have. Smaller than other Corps outfits, F-2 boasts a family
atmosphere that provides friends that will last a lifetime.
Foxes also enjoy athletics, family BBQ’s before every
football game, and typically rank among the top in Corps
grades.
For the 2008-2009 school year, the Corps Commander, the
highest ranking senior in the Corps, is a Fighting Fox.
In the past
few school years F-2 has held many Major
Unit staff positions, such as:
First Brigade Commander, Chaplain,
Recruiting Officer and Sergeant, P.R. Officer, Adjutant, and
Inspector General Sergeant.
Many Foxes participate in
the following
Corps teams: Color Guard, Fish Drill Team (FDT), Ross Volunteers (RV's), was also
in charge of the Tree Platoon.
